PurElute IEX Plasmid Kits
PurElute™ IEX Plasmid Kits present a novel ion-exchange membrane for purification of superior quality endotoxin-free plasmid DNA. Membrane porosity was optimized to provide high interior surface area accessible for DNA binding and high flow rate for easy sample processing. This method is simpler and more efficient than conventional gravity flow columns. PurElute™ IEX Plasmid Kits have an exceedingly high binding capacity, excellent selectivity and recovery efficiency. Purified plasmid DNA is free of impurities that may interfere with demanding downstream applications.
Benefits
Superior quality DNA : Suitable for mammalian cell transfections and other sensitive downstream applications
High yield : Binding capacity greater than conventional gravity flow columns
Quick protocol : Significantly faster than conventional methods
Simple spin column format : No waiting for gravity flow columns
Broad applications : Purify plasmids of all sizes, cosmids, fosmids, and BACs Ready to use : No pre-wetting or equilibration step
High purity DNA : Maxiprep provides endotoxin-free DNA
PurBlue : Visualize complete lysis to maximze DNA yield

SeqPrep & FosPrep Systems
Imagine using just one microplate for culture growth, DNA purification and DNA storage. You’d save time, effort and consumables. That’s what you can do with SeqPrep™ and FosPrep™ Systems, an elegant new way to isolate DNA from bacterial cultures. This innovation allows you to go from culture to purification in one plate, with few manipulations.
Bacterial cultures are grown in 0.016–0.275 ml of medium in the SeqPrep™ Plate, pelleted by centrifugation (optional), and lysed with Edge BioSystems Lysis Solution/Enzyme Mix. The lysed DNA is washed and dried. Purified DNA is resuspended in dH2O and ready for immediate use. The DNA may be stored in the plate at 4°C and at -20°C for long-term storage.
Benefits
Save time and reduce costs : SeqPrep/FosPrep systems eliminate everything that could slow you down and increase your expenses
No plate transfers : everything happens in one well
No vacuum manifold : you won’t need special equipment
No magnetic beads : this technology is easy to use
No licensing fees : there are no extra expenses or legal issues
Applications
Sequencing
Restriction digestion
Clone screening

Precipitation Reagent
Quick-Precip™ Solution is a proprietary, biologically inert, carrier used for rapid precipitation of DNA, RNA, and oligomers >16 bases. Precipitation with >95% efficiency is accomplished in 2-3 minutes at room temperature. Quick-Precip™ Solution is not affected by the presence of additives frequently found in enzymatic reactions or residual organic solvents used for extraction of proteins. Because Quick-Precip™ Solution is biologically inert, precipitated DNA or RNA can be used for hybridization, cloning, preparation of libraries and PCR.
