Nucleic acid detection kits



DetectorTM Chemiluminescent Blotting Kits are designed for the hybridization and chemiluminescent detection of biotinylated DNA or RNA probes on membranes. Applications include Northern, Southern and dot blotting as well as colony hybridization and plaque lifts. Based on the proven performance of chemiluminescent substrates, these systems offer sensitivity equivalent to 32P in significantly less time. In addition, the components and procedures are fully optimized to yield superior results relative to competitive non-radioactive blotting kits. Expect the highest signal-to-noise ratio available. KPL provides two methods for non-radioactive nucleic acid detection. Each relies on a different enzyme and substrate system, one being alkaline phosphatase/CDP-Star Chemiluminescent Substrate (Detector AP Chemiluminescent Blotting Kit) and the other horseradish peroxidase/LumiGLO Chemiluminescent Substrate (Detector HRP Chemiluminescent Blotting Kit). Kit selection will depend on the requirements of the assay.
