Sample Thawing Stations
The Station One, Heliport, and Heliport Plus thawing stations transform how frozen samples are handled by ensuring quick, reproducible, and safe results every time. These systems use a breakthrough A.I.R. (Automatic Internal Redistribution) system that draws ambient air in through fans and channels it upward through a perforated tray to circulate it around samples. This simple convection method decreases thawing times by up to 90% without ever applying excess heat, which helps eliminate edge effects and thermal variability.
Station One for benchtop use, utilizes two fans to handle two microplates or up to 52 small tubes in a single cycle.
Heliport was built specifically for integration with liquid handlers and features seven jumbo fans with an expanded surface that fits 11 microplates to thaw a thousand samples in as little as nine minutes. For the most challenging jobs, Heliport Plus includes a 600-watt heating system and upgraded fans to thaw large molecule compounds and high-melt carriers like DMSO.

The Station One channels ambient air over and around samples. The result is up to a 75% decrease in sample and reagent thawing times without any application of heat. Included accessory racks enable thawing of most industry standard tubes from 1 to 50ml.
The Station One’s large thawing surface can accommodate two microplates or 2D barcoded tube racks at a time. There’s ample surface area for thawing media bottles too.
Microplates, tubes and even 2D barcoded tube racks can be ready for use in a fraction of the time while assuring maximum consistency and reproducibility.

Heliport features an expanded thawing surface for large sample arrays, accommodating up to 11 microplates or microtube racks. Seven jumbo fans provide sufficient fan power to thaw your samples quickly and reproducibly. Heliport also features a remote I/O port for simple integration with liquid handlers, or any automated platform.
The Heliport Plus features the same deck size as the Heliport but adds a 600W heater for thawing large samples. This system is enhanced by seven upgraded fans providing 30°C airflow at 6 L/min. For standard applications, the heater can be switched off to match the performance of the Heliport.
