The Ziath Mohawk is a semi-automated tube selector designed to streamline the retrieval of individual samples from storage racks. Available in both 96-position and 48-position configurations, the Mohawk uses a solenoid-driven pin system to physically lift selected tubes out of the rack. This eliminates the need for manual selection, reducing errors and ensuring that the correct samples are retrieved every time, whether they are frozen or thawed.

Unlike complex robotic arms, the Mohawk uses a robust bed of solenoid pins to push specific tubes up from the bottom of the rack.
- Multi-Tube Selection: Capable of lifting a single tube or up to 16 tubes simultaneously, allowing for rapid batch processing.
- Rack Verification: An integrated 1D barcode scanner identifies the rack ID before operation, ensuring the picklist matches the loaded labware.

- LIMS Integration: Picklists can be imported directly from Excel, CSV, JSON, or XML files. It features specific compatibility with FreezerPro®.
- Reader Pairing: Works in combination with Ziath Mirage, Cube, or Express readers to verify "daughter" (destination) racks after picking, ensuring complete traceability.
- User-Friendly Interface: The software visualizes the rack map and highlights selected tubes for easy removal.
